Aravalli, April 17 (NationPress) Gujarat has emerged as the leading state in employment generation across India, as stated by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel during a campaign gathering in Aravalli district in anticipation of the upcoming local self-government elections.

While addressing a 'Vikas Sankalp Sabha' in the village of Sathamba within Bayad taluka, Patel remarked, “If there is any state in the entire country that provides the highest employment, it is Gujarat,” attributing this achievement to ongoing developmental policies and the expansion of infrastructure.

He highlighted a corridor project approved for the region, costing Rs 1,600 crore, emphasizing that such investments are crucial to ensuring that “the pace of development will not slow down.”

Patel outlined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s philosophy, stating, “The BJP does not operate solely during election periods; being consistently present among the populace and addressing their issues is the hallmark of BJP workers.”

He pointed out, “After elections, opposition candidates seldom engage with the public,” contrasting this with the BJP's active involvement during crises, including the Covid pandemic.

Focusing on development-oriented politics, Patel acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi for transforming the electoral narrative. He stated, “Since Narendra Modi took office as Chief Minister of Gujarat, elections have increasingly focused on development issues,” adding, “In today's technological age, it is essential to present a clear account of progress to the public.”

Patel further mentioned that PM Modi has “cleared the path for national development.”

Reflecting on past obstacles, he noted that Gujarat had previously encountered challenges related to water, electricity, and infrastructure. However, he emphasized that “by setting high targets,” PM Modi has ensured the provision of 24-hour electricity and the supply of Narmada water to households, thereby “continuously strengthening public trust.”

Detailing initiatives for farmers and landowners, Patel announced: "The state government has decided to update land conditions from new tenure to old tenure, making direct corrections in 7/12 land records."

On the topic of water conservation, he mentioned that the government has allocated Rs 50 lakh to each legislator under the ‘Catch the Rain’ initiative to enhance pond capacity and recharge groundwater.

He also encouraged citizens to participate in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign aimed at expanding green cover and promoting environmental sustainability.

Patel called upon voters to ensure “a significant victory” for BJP candidates in the elections scheduled for April 26.
