Gandhinagar, July 23 (NationPress) Gujarat's Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is preparing to unveil and lay foundation stones for development initiatives valued at Rs 358.37 crore in Banaskantha district during his upcoming visit to the border village of Suigam on Thursday.
This extensive day-long event will signify the launch of crucial projects spanning sectors such as health, education, transportation, infrastructure, and energy in rural North Gujarat.
The day will commence at 10 a.m. in Suigam, where the CM will inaugurate a newly built bus terminal, which cost Rs 1.83 crore, established by the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC). Additionally, he will flag off 11 new buses as part of the first phase of a larger initiative involving 1,963 buses aimed at improving public transport statewide.
A significant portion of the day's events will unfold in Nadabet, where CM Patel will e-inaugurate projects amounting to Rs 55.68 crore and lay e-foundation stones for upcoming works totaling Rs 302.69 crore.
These ventures will encompass areas such as health, road construction, educational infrastructure, and rural electrification. Noteworthy highlights include the foundation stone for a new sub-district hospital in Deesa, scheduled for construction at a cost of Rs 80 crore, along with six sub-health centers in remote villages. In a significant advancement for education, 45 newly constructed classrooms will be inaugurated, and the foundation stone for 54 additional classrooms will be laid under the state's Samagra Shiksha initiative.
To guarantee a consistent power supply in rural areas, the CM will inaugurate three new 66 KV substations and lay foundations for two more, with an estimated expenditure of Rs 29 crore. After the ceremonies, the Chief Minister will visit the Nadabet Border Outpost (BOP) to engage with BSF personnel and offer prayers at the Nadeshwari Mata temple.
He will be joined by Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Speaker of the Gujarat Assembly, Balvantsinh Rajput, Industries Minister and Banaskantha District In-Charge, along with various senior officials and dignitaries.
