How Are Ganesh Pandals in Surat Showcasing Patriotism This Year?

Surat, Sep 3 (NationPress) This year's Ganesh Utsav in Surat transcends mere devotion and celebration—it embodies patriotism. Numerous pandals throughout the city have fused spiritual enthusiasm with national pride, providing visitors with an extraordinary experience.

In Ekta Nagar, Parvatgam, the youth of the Aryans Group have crafted a Green Ganesha pandal with a remarkable theme—Operation Sindoor. The South Indian community in Surat, responsible for this event, has recreated scenes depicting the Indian Army's counter-offensive following the terrorist assault in Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

From Indian airstrikes to Pakistani drone strikes, and the dynamic interception of enemy drones by the S-400 Sudarshan Chakra system, each detail has been meticulously designed. Organizers utilized art installations, models, and screen displays to vividly present the operation, offering attendees a glimpse into the Army's bravery and precision.

“The theme is fascinating. Highlighting Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam attack showcases the valor of our soldiers,” remarked Dhanjiraala Sudhir, a visitor from Surat.

Visitor Deepali Ramu shared, “I felt uplifted. This pandal is distinct from others. The underlying message is powerful.”

Ganesh Utsav, which originated as a movement to unite society under the veneration of Lord Ganesha, continues to embody the same spirit of unity and national pride. This sentiment was equally palpable in the Limbayat area, where the Raj Mundra Group established another patriotic pandal.

Here, along with Lord Ganesha, the courageous daughters of the nation—Colonel Sofia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh—are honored, saluting their contributions to the defense of the country. The tableau also features Prime Minister Narendra Modi alongside soldiers, reinforcing the themes of national unity and resilience.

The centerpiece remains the vivid representation of Operation Sindoor, illustrating how the Indian Army responded decisively to Pakistani terrorists after the Pahalgam attack. According to the organizers, who have been celebrating Ganesh Utsav for 13 years, this theme was selected to remind the public of the sacrifices and gallantry of the armed forces.

“The theme is motivating. It illustrates how the Indian Army delivered a fitting response to Pakistan and displayed remarkable courage,” commented visitor Raj Koli.

Another visitor, Ashwini Patil, noted, “The pandal is magnificent. It serves as more than just a festival space—it is a tribute to our soldiers.”
