Jaipur, Sep 3 (NationPress) Candidates who were selected through the Rajasthan SI Recruitment-2021 have lodged an appeal with the division bench of the High Court, disputing the single bench’s ruling from August 28 that rendered the recruitment invalid.
The appeal was submitted by Advocate Alankrita Sharma, representing candidate Vikram Panwar and others.
The appellants asserted that the single bench’s ruling was flawed and negatively affected candidates who passed the examination with integrity and transparency.
They argued that since numerous candidates have already been chosen and appointed, it is unjust to nullify the entire recruitment process at this juncture.
A request for an urgent hearing has been made in the High Court, with the matter expected to be reviewed by the division bench, headed by Justice S.P. Sharma, on Monday, September 8.
Alongside the appeal, the candidates have filed a stay application, seeking immediate relief from the single bench’s order.
In the meantime, the single bench has taken suo motu cognizance of the irregularities in the RPSC during the SI examination process, registering the matter as public interest litigation (PIL).
This case has also been scheduled before the division bench for a hearing on September 10.
On August 28, Justice Sameer Jain of the single bench invalidated the SI recruitment via a comprehensive 202-page order, citing that the paper leak had extended statewide and was linked to the “Bluetooth gang,” with six RPSC members allegedly involved.
However, the court granted relief to those who had resigned from government positions to take on the role of SIs, instructing that they be reinstated to their original posts in accordance with service regulations.
