Ahmedabad, Sep 22 (NationPress) As the nation welcomes the auspicious festival of Navratri starting Monday, residents across Gujarat are preparing for vibrant garba celebrations. Exciting preparations are in full swing in Surat and various districts throughout the state.
This year, a standout feature is the construction of Garba pandals, prominently highlighting Operation Sindoor, aimed at honoring the bravery of our armed forces in combating terrorism.
Numerous puja committees in Surat have curated stunning pandals, many focusing on India’s decisive military operation against Pakistan - Operation Sindoor.
The pandals showcase images such as Rafale fighter jets and rocket launchers, captivating the attention of visitors and passersby alike. These structures are also set to celebrate the garba festival, with participants already dancing to the festive tunes.
A few doctors participating in the garba event shared their enthusiasm with IANS, expressing their eagerness to celebrate this year uniquely.
A significant number of doctors from various parts of the city joined the Garba dance, organized by the Doctors and Medical Association in Surat.
Dr. Deepak Patel remarked that Operation Sindoor elevated the nation's honor, which is why they chose to commemorate it in tribute to the courageous soldiers.
Dr. Deepti Patel added that the pooja and Garba are being conducted in reverence of the soldiers under the ‘Operation Sindoor’ theme.
“The remarkable feat achieved by the Indian Army during this daring operation is unprecedented, which is why we are praying to Goddess Durga for the protection of our brave soldiers,” she stated.
Dr. Nikunj Vithalani, the event organizer and head of the Doctors' Association, highlighted that this year, three associations have collaborated to organize the Garba.
“A special puja is being held for the valiant soldiers who not only avenged our people but also brought Pakistan to its knees for its cowardly acts of terror,” he concluded.
