Jamnagar, April 25 (NationPress) In response to the recent terror incident at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, there has been a significant escalation in coastal security throughout Gujarat's Saurashtra region, particularly affecting the districts of Dwarka, Jamnagar, and Morbi.
With Gujarat's coastline stretching 1,600 kilometers -- part of which borders the sensitive maritime area with Pakistan -- the state's marine forces are now fully activated, according to official reports.
The Jamnagar Marine Police have heightened security measures, increasing surveillance along the maritime border. Authorities have initiated thorough patrolling and inspection operations at all coastal checkpoints. Security personnel have also been assigned to monitor landing sites and coastal villages, keeping a vigilant watch for any suspicious activities.
In the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack, both central and state security agencies, including the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Commandos, are on heightened alert.
