Gandhinagar, March 4 (NationPress) A high-level committee meeting regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) took place today in Gandhinagar, chaired by retired Justice Ranjana Desai.
In the course of the meeting, the Gujarat government unveiled an online portal, http://uccgujarat.in, aimed at collecting public suggestions and feedback on the application of the UCC within the state.
Justice Desai encouraged residents of Gujarat to share their insights on the proposed legislation. The committee has invited contributions from individuals, governmental bodies, NGOs, social and religious organizations, as well as political parties in Gujarat. Submissions can be made online or mailed to Block No.1, A-Wing, 6th Floor, Karmayogi Bhavan, Sector-10A, Gandhinagar, by March 24, 2025.
