Haryana Chief Minister Wishes Success to National Youth Festival Delegates

Chandigarh, Jan 8 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, met with and offered his best wishes to 75 participants who are set to represent the state at the National Youth Festival in New Delhi from January 10 to 12.

The Chief Minister expressed his pride in the youth's representation at this festival, describing it as a significant moment of honor. He urged the participants to pursue their goals with dedication and hard work, aiming to bring recognition to Haryana.

Last year, Haryana achieved second place at the National Youth Festival held in Nashik, Maharashtra. He stated, “This year, I am confident that Haryana will claim the top position.” He emphasized the ‘dhaakad’ spirit of Haryana's youth, which makes them an influential force.

The Chief Minister encouraged participants to define clear objectives and tirelessly strive to attain them. He reassured them that the government is focused on the welfare of the youth, offering government jobs based on merit without any favoritism.

“So far, 1.71 lakh youth have secured jobs through merit, and we are committed to hiring for an additional two lakh positions,” he said. The government prioritizes youth development through education, skill training, and self-employment opportunities to empower them to become job creators instead of job seekers.

“Our government supports the youth in all aspects including education, skill development, employment, and overseas job opportunities,” remarked the Chief Minister. He called upon the youth to avoid drug abuse and to focus their energies on sports and other constructive pursuits.

He highlighted the Fit India Movement initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which aims to keep the youth physically fit and engaged in nation-building. He affirmed that the government is implementing measures to tackle drug abuse and is enforcing strict penalties against drug trade offenders.

Moreover, he announced plans for a new platform that allows the public to report drug-related issues anonymously, ensuring confidentiality for those sharing information.
