To accelerate industrial expansion within the state, the government has initiated plans to establish 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs). Suitable land has already been earmarked for this initiative. A comprehensive new industrial policy is set to be unveiled shortly, with drafts for various associated policies currently in the works, according to the minister.
He noted that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who also serves as the Finance Minister, has prioritized the industrial sector in the upcoming budget. The budget allocation for the Industries Department has witnessed a substantial increase of 126 percent, totaling Rs 1848 crore for the current financial year.
Singh highlighted that his primary focus as Industry Minister is to implement significant transformations in the industrial sector over the next five years.
"A new IMT will be established in Mewat, adjacent to Gurugram. Following Manesar, M/s Amprex Technologies Ltd. has expressed interest in setting up operations in Mewat. Of their proposed Rs 7,083 crore investment, Rs 2,460 crore has already been committed by the company. The state government is dedicated to developing Nuh into a well-developed district like others in Haryana," the minister stated.
Furthermore, to foster the textile industry, the state has introduced the ‘Haryana AatmaNirbhar Textile Policy 2025’. This initiative aims to boost textile industries in Panipat, Gurugram, and Faridabad. Under this policy, a substantial subsidy of Rs.1200 crore has been allocated for the industries.
"Regions with a minimum of 10 acres of land and 50 proposed industrial units will be designated as ‘confirmation zones.’ A dedicated portal will be created for investors to upload their documentation. A ‘Single Window System’ has been established in Panchkula to facilitate NOCs for entrepreneurs. Similar systems will be rolled out in other districts to eliminate the need for investors to visit multiple offices for approvals," he added.
