How Are Mobile Medical Units Enhancing Healthcare in Vidisha?

Vidisha, July 5 (NationPress) Mobile medical units, an initiative funded by the central government, are making significant strides in delivering healthcare to tribal communities in their own surroundings in Madhya Pradesh, garnering admiration from residents.

Situated roughly 65 km from Bhopal, Vidisha has experienced a substantial improvement in healthcare access as tribal communities now receive treatment for various health issues right at their homes. Their remote geographical location is no longer an obstacle to receiving medical care, and the burden of traveling long distances has been alleviated.

These mobile medical units, furnished with state-of-the-art medical tools and equipment, are providing treatment directly in the villages, which has filled the tribal residents with joy and optimism.

In Vidisha, ten mobile medical units were launched under the PM JANMAN Yojana, specifically to serve the Sahariya tribal group. Over the past year, these units have played a crucial role in ensuring that tribal individuals receive necessary medical attention.

Equipped with modern medical facilities, such as X-ray machines, stretchers, and oxygen cylinders, these vehicles navigate the rural landscapes to address the healthcare needs of the tribal populations. Additionally, they are fitted with GPS technology to assist in finding their way through the intricate paths of the tribal areas.

Paramedic Lucky Sharma shared with IANS that these mobile units perform regular health assessments for the tribal communities while closely monitoring cases of throat and breast cancer. Individuals suspected of having such conditions are referred to larger healthcare facilities.

Numerous locals expressed their appreciation for this initiative and expressed gratitude towards the government for this welfare program.

Many residents, in conversations with IANS, highlighted the numerous advantages of the scheme initiated under the PM JANMAN Scheme. They conveyed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for various public welfare initiatives, including free rations and subsidized gas cylinders.

"We are receiving medications at our doorsteps, and our children are getting vaccinated," remarked one local, while another expressed gratitude for the job opportunities provided to their children.

Importantly, Madhya Pradesh is home to a variety of tribal groups, including Sahariya, Bhariya, and Baiga. Due to their isolated lifestyles and lack of awareness, many of these tribal communities have historically been deprived of healthcare services; however, the introduction of these mobile units has helped integrate them into mainstream health services.
