New Delhi, July 28 (NationPress) With losses estimated at over Rs 1,200 crore, former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jairam Thakur, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday to detail the destruction in the disaster-impacted regions of the state. He urged for an “area-specific” relief package focused on rehabilitation.
The Prime Minister gathered comprehensive information regarding the losses and expressed his commitment to providing support for rebuilding and rehabilitation in the affected areas.
Thakur highlighted that the calamity that struck on the night of June 30 resulted not only in the loss of homes but also in the devastation of agricultural lands.

“Thus, we have requested the introduction of an “area-specific” relief package for rehabilitation and reconstruction,” stated Thakur, who has been elected six times from Seraj in Mandi district.
