Madikeri, April 9 (NationPress) R. Ashoka, the Karnataka Leader of the Opposition (LoP), asserted on Wednesday that Hindu workers consistently face violence whenever the Congress party assumes power in the state.

“Every time the Congress party comes to power, members of Hindu organizations are targeted and killed. Individuals such as Prashant Poojari, RSS’s Raju, Rajesh Kotian, Praveen Poojari, Charan Poojari, and Vishwanath are merely a few examples of the numerous Hindu workers murdered by Muslim organizations like PFI and the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI),” the Karnataka LoP stated while speaking at the Janakrosh Yatra in Madikeri city.

He further mentioned that Vinay Somaiah from Kodagu has been subjected to harassment leading to his suicide, warning that the persecution of Hindus will not persist indefinitely.

“In Kodagu, during the previous Tipu Jayanti celebrations, an elderly individual named Kuttappa was killed. The Congress government is attempting to sow discord among Hindus. Reservations have been allocated to Muslims in government contracts. If Chief Minister Siddaramaiah remains in office, he will essentially hand over Karnataka to Pakistan,” he continued.

He also remarked that historically, attacks on Hindus by Muslims were prevalent in Jammu and Kashmir, suggesting that if Siddaramaiah continues as Chief Minister, Kodagu could face a similar fate.

He criticized the state’s handling of violence against women, stating, “Even when young women are assaulted in the state, Home Minister G. Parameshwara dismisses these incidents as normal, asserting that police officers comply with the directives of Congress leaders.”

“Law enforcement should not engage in covering up crimes against Hindu workers and women for the sake of transfers or monetary gain,” he claimed.

He pointed out that due to increased taxes and rising costs, the populace is suffering, urging that if ministers or Congress MLAs approach the public, they should be confronted.

“The government expects the public to claim everything is satisfactory even when there is a shortage of medicines in hospitals. Congress leaders desire to be praised and have the public describe their hospitals as exemplary,” he alleged.

He added that Siddaramaiah has accumulated debt, imposing a burden on the citizens, asserting that no prior Chief Minister has ever taken on such extensive financial obligations.

“Siddaramaiah is exploiting the people. Congress is extracting funds from the populace to offer guarantees,” he claimed.
