Gandhinagar, Sep 21 (NationPress) The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, is set to inaugurate the Startup Conclave 2025 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar this coming Tuesday.
This two-day event, organized by the Gujarat government’s Education department, will see the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and State Higher and Technical Education Minister Rushikesh Patel during the opening ceremony.
Aiming to unite the most vibrant voices in innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment from across the nation, the conclave is expected to host over 1,000 startups, 5,000 innovators, 100 industry mentors, more than 50 venture funds, and influential policymakers on a single platform.
Scheduled for September 23 to 24, this gathering aspires to establish a new standard for India’s startup environment by bridging the gap between nascent ventures and leading investors.
A key feature will be the investor pitching sessions, where more than 50 shortlisted startups will present their concepts across multiple tracks to leading venture capitalists in India.
These sessions are projected to unlock funding opportunities estimated at Rs 250 crore, capitalizing on the momentum from the Startup Conclave 2023.
In anticipation of the event, investor interest has already generated letters of intent and financial commitments totaling Rs 150 crore for promising startups.
The conclave will also feature over 170 startups from 20 states, including selections from Startup India, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and innovations for defence excellence (iDEX).
Exhibits will cover critical sectors like defence, aerospace, healthcare, clean energy, agritech, deep tech, and social impact innovations, emphasizing India’s entrepreneurial pursuit of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'.
Thematic pavilions will showcase Gujarat's strengths in electric vehicles, semiconductors, augmented/virtual reality, fintech, green hydrogen, drones, and space technologies.
The opening session will feature the launch of a Startup Conclave Coffee Table Book, NEP-2020 Dashboard, and the Indian Knowledge System Compendium.
Moreover, the state government plans to facilitate the signing of 50 MoUs between startups, investors, and financial institutions, alongside distributing funding checks and letters of intent to selected ventures.
In addition to exhibitions and networking opportunities, the conclave will include plenary sessions and roundtable discussions on critical themes such as emerging prospects in sunrise sectors, the journey of India's unicorns, the role of women-led startups, and the influence of digital transformation.
A special Unicorn Roundtable, led by Minister Rushikesh Patel, will convene unicorn founders, policymakers, and investors to help shape the future of India's innovation economy.
The Startup exhibition, a central highlight of the conclave, will provide startups with direct access to policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and mentors.
Experts from platforms like iDEX, Startup India, MeitY Startup Hub, Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe), Gujarat Venture Finance Limited, and Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) will participate, offering B2B mentorship, go-to-market strategies, and investor connections.
