Patna, Nov 8 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday launched a formidable critique against leaders of the Grand Alliance, accusing them of providing sanctuary to infiltrators in Bihar’s Seemanchal region and pledged to eliminate their presence.

Speaking at a rally in Banmankhi Assembly constituency in Purnea, Shah urged voters to support initiatives aimed at identifying and expelling those he labeled as illegal migrants.

“People of Seemanchal, tell me — should these infiltrators be removed from here or not? Recently, Rahul Gandhi and Lalu’s son embarked on a ‘Save the Infiltrators’ campaign in Bihar. They want Seemanchal to transform into a haven for infiltrators. But I declare today from the land of Seemanchal that we will strive to expel every single infiltrator from Bihar. These infiltrators deprive our youth of jobs, claim rations meant for the underprivileged, and compromise national security,” he asserted.

Shah also committed to addressing encroachments allegedly made by such individuals.

“I announce today in Banmankhi that we will not only expel the infiltrators but also completely dismantle the encroachments they've established, liberating Seemanchal's land from them,” he stated.

The Home Minister reiterated enduring BJP claims that Seemanchal — comprising Purnea, Araria, Kishanganj, and Katihar — has been susceptible to illegal cross-border migration due to its closeness to Bangladesh.

Polling in the Seemanchal region is set for the second phase on November 11.

He criticized the RJD for its 15-year governance record.

“During the rule of Lalu-Rabri, MLAs were killed in broad daylight. Industries of looting, murder, extortion, and kidnapping thrived. Nitish Kumar has put an end to jungle raj, but it is trying to resurface in a different form. Your vote will help prevent the return of jungle raj,” Shah remarked.

He scrutinized RJD candidate selections, referencing the late Bahubali leader and former MP Mohammad Shahabuddin, cautioning against the party’s leniency toward criminal elements.

“Lalu’s party has nominated Shahabuddin’s son Osama in Siwan... there is no space left for any Osama or Shahabuddin on Bihar’s land,” Shah declared.

He framed the Bihar election as a contest between two factions.

“This election presents two camps — on one side is the disarrayed alliance of thugs, and on the opposite side is the NDA, akin to the five Pandavas. Half of Bihar has already cast their votes. In the initial phase, Lalu and Rahul’s party has been completely eradicated. The NDA government is poised to form in Bihar with over 160 seats. Under the leadership of PM Modi and Nitish Kumar, Bihar is set to advance and become a developed state,” he affirmed.

He invoked the Ayodhya dispute, accusing previous governments of obstructing the construction of a Ram temple.

“550 years ago, Babar demolished the temple of Lord Rama in Ayodhya. Since then, the Mughals, the British, the Congress, and then Lalu Yadav have all obstructed it. When you re-elected Narendra Modi in 2019, he laid the foundation stone, which will culminate in the temple's consecration in 2024, proclaiming ‘Jai Shri Ram’.”

He also connected this to the Sitamarhi Sita temple project.

“Goddess Sita is a daughter of Bihar. The foundation stone for a temple dedicated to her in Sitamarhi has also been laid. A magnificent temple for Goddess Sita will be constructed here within two and a half years at a cost of Rs 850 crore.
