New Delhi, March 12 (NationPress) BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi remarked that the awarding of Mauritius’ highest civilian accolade to Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a profound source of pride for 140 crore citizens of India, highlighting the world’s increasing trust in India’s position as the ‘Vishwamitra’.
During a two-day official visit to the island nation, PM Modi was honored with the prestigious “The Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean” by President Dharam Gokhool at a ceremony held on Wednesday.
It is noteworthy that PM Modi is the first Indian leader to be awarded this distinction.
While speaking to reporters in the national capital, Sudhanshu Trivedi pointed out that Mauritius has joined the list of nations that have bestowed their highest honors upon the Prime Minister.
“Before Mauritius, Barbados had also honored him with its highest civilian award. PM Modi has established himself as a truly unique global leader, having received top civilian awards from 21 countries, including Russia, USA, and France,” the BJP Rajya Sabha MP noted.
He additionally shared that among these 21 nations, nine are Muslim-majority countries, including Egypt, UAE, Bahrain, Afghanistan, and even Palestine.
The BJP MP emphasized that PM Modi has guided the nation in a manner that the entire world now perceives India as ‘Vishwamitra’.
“Under PM Modi’s leadership, our relationships with various global powers have evolved beyond mere economic, military, and diplomatic ties. They have reached a new level where countries are demonstrating a positive connection and respect for India,” he observed.
“All of this indicates that India is not only emerging as the growth engine of the world but also becoming a symbol of a compassionate nation, with which all nations wish to strengthen their ties,” he concluded.
