Ahmedabad, Sep 6 (NationPress) As US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed their personal friendship and the robustness of bilateral relations, BJP leader Rohan Gupta expressed his approval of this development, stating that India currently occupies a position in global politics that cannot be overlooked.
This statement comes amid ongoing efforts by both nations to alleviate tensions that arose from trade disputes and India's acquisition of Russian oil.
In an interview with IANS, Rohan Gupta emphasized, “India stands at a significant juncture in world politics where it cannot be disregarded. Whether it's the UK, Russia, or China—India is an indispensable player in global decision-making. India operates as a responsible nation, and Trump's comment reflects that. It is a positive acknowledgment.”
“The Prime Minister's response is also encouraging because this relationship transcends two individuals—it embodies the bond between two great democracies. In any bilateral engagement, there are fluctuations, but one truth remains: India does not act under duress. Every decision is made with the welfare of farmers and all segments of society in mind. That is the essence of New India,” he added.
Rohan Gupta also responded to a contentious social media post from the Kerala Congress.
“The post by the Kerala Congress is not merely an isolated event; it unveils the underlying mindset of the Congress party. From questioning the DNA of Biharis to derogatory remarks, such repeated affronts are not incidental. They reflect their arrogance and unease,” he stated.
“The citizens of Bihar are observant. When the election results are announced, they will retaliate against every insult through their votes. The Congress and its allies will face repercussions,” Gupta remarked to IANS.
He further welcomed the recent GST reforms, describing them as a major advancement.
“The GST reform is a significant initiative. It will serve the common man and the middle class throughout the nation. This is a gift from the government, which consistently prioritizes the people's interests,” he stated.
Gupta also addressed a viral video where Congress national spokesperson Supriya Shrinate allegedly made derogatory comments about the people of Bihar.
“This is yet another incident showcasing the Congress mentality—insulting the people of Bihar. However, the people will not forget or forgive. The continuous humiliation of Bihar will have dire consequences for them at the polls,” he concluded.
In a video shared by BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya on X, Shrinate is reportedly heard saying, "In Bihar, people are sweating profusely and their clothes appear unkempt, yet he (Rahul Gandhi) is embracing them and kissing their heads. Such a person cannot show off or pretend. One might fear an infection, but he doesn’t even wash his hands after shaking hands with anyone."
