How did Rahil Pillarisetty Win the Pro-Stock 301-400cc Open Race?

Chennai, Sep 6 (NationPress) In a remarkable display of skill, Hyderabad’s Rahil Pillarisetty (RACR Castrol Power1) achieved his third victory in five attempts in the prestigious Pro-Stock 301-400cc Open category, further solidifying his lead on the points leaderboard during the third round of the MMSC fmsci Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship held at the Madras International Circuit on Saturday.

The day's other champions included Rajender Beedani (MAI Racing) from Hyderabad in the Stock 165cc (Novice) class, and Chennai's Jagathishree Kumaresan (One Racing), who triumphed in a shortened Girls (Stock 165cc) race.

Additionally, Raj Kumar (Motul Sparks Racing) from Coimbatore emerged victorious in the Stock 165cc (Novice) race, while Mohamed Mikhail (Mad Rabbit Racing) from Thiruvallur clinched a narrow win in the Stock 301-400cc (Novice) race. Venkatesh Iyyappan (Rookies Racing) took home the title in the Pro-Stock 200cc Open race, where mere fractions of a second separated the leading trio.

The 27-year-old Rahil, riding a Yamaha R3, started from pole position and maintained a commanding pace, creating a significant gap over his closest competitor, defending champion Sarthak Chavan (Petronas TVS Racing) at the finish line. Rahil's teammate, Bengaluru’s Anish Damodara Shetty, a two-time former National champion, made a successful return to racing after three years by securing a podium finish.

Later, in an exhilarating finish, the top three contenders in the Pro-Stock 200cc Open race crossed the finish line in close succession, with Venkatesh Iyyappan, who started from P5, narrowly beating Senthilkumar (RDX Torque Racing), while Soorya PM (Chandra LGE Racing) claimed third place. This race featured thrilling overtaking maneuvers throughout, with the winner determined right at the finish line.

Defending champion Jagathishree Kumaresan showcased her dominance in the Girls (Stock 165cc) category, achieving her fourth victory in five races, despite the race being red-flagged after three laps due to an incident on track.

Finishing second was former National champion Ann Jennifer (Motul Sparks Racing), who was actively contesting Jagathishree when the race halted. Youngster Rakshita Dave (RACR Castrol Power1) took third place.

Earlier, another Hyderabad competitor, Rajender Beedani, celebrated his second win of the season in the fiercely competitive Stock 165cc (Novice) category. The 21-year-old BBA student overcame a poor start that placed him in seventh position, quickly recovering to join the frontrunners.

A collision with Aizawl’s Lal Nunsanga (Motul Sparks Racing) forced Rajender to run wide, relegating him to fourth place, but he fought back to ultimately secure victory ahead of Lal Nunsanga and Tirupati’s CS Kedarnadh (KTM Gusto Racing India).

Chennai’s Mohan Babu achieved his second win in four races with a stellar performance in the Expert (TVS Apache RR310) category, opening a significant gap over local rival G Bavlaji, who finished second in the six-lap race, followed by Hyderabad's Md Samrul Zubair.

Akarsh Jangam from Vijayawada secured his second win of the season in the Rookie (Apache RTR 200) category after fending off challenges from Joshua A (Bengaluru) and Hari Haran (Coimbatore) in a tightly contested finish.

Later, Chennai’s Jagathishree Kumaresan maintained her composure to win the Women’s race (RTR 200) against SP Shuria (Trichy) and Ananya Awasthi (Pune).

Bengaluru’s Solomon R fortified his top position in the Honda CB 300F class by securing his third victory in five races, while Tejash BA from Tumakuru finished second, followed by Saroop Krishna (Chennai).
