During a post on X, he added, “With India making steady progress on its development journey, Viksit Bharat 2047 is not just a vision but a reality in progress.”
The India Pavilion was awarded a Bronze medal for external design in the 'Module Pavilion' category at the World Expo.
Ranked among the top five pavilions at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, the India Pavilion stands alongside those of the US, Italy, Japan, and France. It highlights India’s rich cultural heritage, innovation, and sustainable development, featuring sections on heritage, Ayurveda, ISRO, and more, curated by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts.
With its unique fusion of traditional and modern elements, the pavilion has become a sought-after destination, enticing visitors with its interactive cultural experiences, authentic Indian cuisine, and photo-friendly installations. The World Expo will run until the 13th of October.
The Bharat Mandap is more than just an architectural feat; it embodies India’s cultural diplomacy. It offers an immersive experience for international visitors through rich exhibits, interactive cultural sessions, and artistic installations, as per an official statement.
The India Pavilion provides a smooth, inviting, and inclusive experience, with highlights that include sections on innovation, Ayurveda, ISRO, and sustainability.
Live cultural experiences such as Garba dance, yoga sessions led by Indian Acharyas, and displays of traditional costumes and authentic Indian cuisine captivated the global audience. Friendly activities and photo-op corners featuring Himachali caps and Indian handicrafts further enhanced the experience.
These offerings made the Pavilion a favorite, attracting enthusiastic participation and widespread online acclaim.
At the Pavilion's spiritual core stands a magnificent representation of Padmapani Bodhisattva, inspired by Ajanta cave murals—a symbol of India’s enduring compassion. Artistic features like the Blue Lotus Façade, Bodhi Tree Installation, and Flowing Waters convey India’s philosophical essence—interconnectedness, peace, and transformation.
The Pavilion’s architecture includes the Lotus Courtyard and Oneness Lounge, reflecting the ancient Indian principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—“The World is One Family.”
