“The protection of our diplomats is a critical issue. We are closely monitoring the situation after the attack on the two Israeli embassy personnel,” one source remarked.
The urgency of the matter has escalated as an all-party delegation led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor is scheduled to visit Washington in early June, especially since Khalistani separatists have issued threats against this team, they noted.
This delegation will travel to the US to advance New Delhi's global outreach in addressing terrorism supported by Pakistan and to clarify the reasoning behind Operation Sindoor, which targeted terrorist infrastructures within areas controlled by Islamabad.
