Tel Aviv, Feb 28 (NationPress) The Indian government has urged its citizens currently living in Israel to maintain a high level of caution and remain alert due to the escalating security conditions in the area, following coordinated airstrikes by Israel and the United States targeting Iran.

In a formal announcement, the Indian Embassy in Israel released a safety advisory directed towards all Indian nationals present in the nation.

"Considering the current security landscape in the region, it is imperative for all Indian citizens in Israel to exercise extreme caution and stay vigilant at all times. Compliance with safety directives and guidelines issued by Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command is strongly recommended," the Embassy stated.

The advisory stressed the necessity of remaining near secure locations. It urged all Indian nationals to stay close to designated shelters and familiarize themselves with the nearest safe spaces in their residence or workplace.

"Indian citizens are advised to refrain from all non-essential travel within Israel until further notice. Citizens should consistently monitor local news, official announcements, and emergency alerts," the statement highlighted.

The Embassy reassured its commitment to providing ongoing support to Indian citizens amid these challenging circumstances.

"In the event of an emergency, Indian nationals can reach the Embassy of India in Tel Aviv via the 24x7 helpline. The Embassy is actively coordinating with relevant authorities and will provide updates as necessary," it added.

This advisory follows a series of intense explosions that rocked Tehran on Saturday, which Israel described as "preventive" missile strikes against Iran.

According to local media reports, this development signifies a significant rise in regional tensions.

The airstrikes occurred against the backdrop of increasing tensions between the United States and Iran regarding a potential nuclear agreement, raising alarms about the possibility of a larger military conflict in the Middle East.
