New Delhi, March 3 (NationPress) India's significant advancements in the technology and telecommunications sectors are ushering in a transformative era of digital leadership and economic growth, remarked Minister for Communications and Development in North-East Region, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, on Monday.
During his address at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, the minister announced that the 9th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) will be held in New Delhi from October 8 to 11, 2025.
“Under the astute leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are experiencing a pivotal transformation that is empowering citizens and encouraging innovation,” Scindia stated.
Hosted by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), IMC 2025 is set to be a significant gathering for industry leaders, policymakers, and technology enthusiasts.
The event will create a platform to delve into the future of connectivity, sustainability, and digital innovation, while tackling critical challenges and opportunities in the rapidly changing global digital environment.
Additionally, the forum will highlight the latest technological advancements and innovations, offering a unique opportunity for collaboration among global experts.
“India is poised to lead in emerging technologies such as 6G, AI, and Quantum, and the IMC has been instrumental in this journey, acting as a catalyst for advancement in the telecom and technology sectors,” Scindia emphasized.
The 2025 edition will concentrate on showcasing innovations across several vital sectors, including 5G & 6G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, quantum computing, cybersecurity, satellite communications, deep-tech, clean-tech, smart mobility, Industry 4.0, and enterprise transformation.
A standout feature of the event will be ASPIRE, a groundbreaking startup initiative aimed at fostering innovation and growth.
This program will include mentorship workshops, live pitches, networking opportunities, and potential partnerships.
It is anticipated that over 1,000 startups will participate, alongside more than 300 investors, incubators, accelerators, and venture capitalists.
Last year’s IMC showcased over 900 technology use case scenarios, including 750 AI-based use cases.
