During his visit to Bhagirathpura, the locality affected by the contaminated water crisis that has claimed several lives and left over 200 individuals hospitalized, the Minister declined to answer questions from the media.
When pressed for details about the exact death toll, he stated, "I will disclose the precise number of casualties at a press conference tomorrow (Saturday)."
Later, when journalists inquired about the state government’s actions concerning the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC), Vijayvargiya refrained from commenting.
He explained, "An inquiry committee was set up by the Chief Minister, and actions may have been taken based on its report. I am unaware of the committee's findings, hence I cannot comment on the Chief Minister's decisions."

The Chief Minister emphasized on X that negligence in the Bhagirathpura incident caused by contaminated drinking water would not be tolerated, and strict measures are being implemented.
Later in the evening, CM Yadav convened a virtual meeting with Mayors from all 16 civic bodies in the state, Chairpersons, district collectors, and Municipal Commissioners, issuing essential directives. Senior officials from various departments, including Health and Urban Affairs, participated in the two-hour meeting.
