During the 123rd episode of his monthly radio broadcast 'Mann Ki Baat', PM Modi stated that Yoga has now become a fundamental aspect of daily life for people in India and around the globe.

"At this moment, many of you must be feeling the energy radiating from Yoga and reflecting on the memories of the International Day of Yoga. This year, once again, on June 21, millions participated in Yoga Day activities across the nation and worldwide. Remember, this journey commenced a decade ago, and with each passing year, the celebrations grow increasingly grand. This signifies that a larger number of individuals are integrating Yoga into their everyday routines," he remarked.

Highlighting remarkable moments from this year's events, the Prime Minister noted the impressive turnout of three lakh individuals practicing Yoga on the shores of Visakhapatnam.

"In another awe-inspiring moment in Visakhapatnam, over 2,000 tribal students performed 108 Surya Namaskars for a duration of 108 minutes. Just think about the level of discipline and dedication required for that," he commented.

He also lauded the distinctive celebrations on Indian Naval vessels, the involvement of more than 3,000 specially-abled participants in Telangana, and Yoga sessions held along the banks of the Yamuna River, which also promoted the initiative to clean the Yamuna.

"In Jammu and Kashmir, individuals performed Yoga atop the Chenab Bridge, the highest railway bridge in the world. ITBP personnel conducted Yoga amidst the snow-capped Himalayan peaks, demonstrating a remarkable blend of valor and spiritual discipline. The people of Gujarat also made history, as residents of Vadnagar set a new record with 2,121 individuals executing Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) simultaneously," he added.

The Prime Minister celebrated the global observance of Yoga Day, mentioning that cities like New York, London, Tokyo, and Paris hosted extensive events.

"Every image captured on Yoga Day around the globe conveyed a profound message of peace, stability, and balance," he said.
