Gurugram, Jan 26 (NationPress) Haryana's Minister for Industry and Commerce, Environment, Forest, and Wildlife, Rao Narbir Singh, emphasized on Sunday that information technology (IT) has been effectively utilized extensively to reduce human involvement in governance.

He mentioned that this advancement has facilitated direct communication between the residents of Haryana and the government.

On the same day, the minister attended a district-level event at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, where he raised the national flag, reviewed the parade, and took the salute during the march past.

In his speech, he highlighted that the Haryana government's model of transparency is reaching new heights of excellence, functioning without additional costs and without slips.

Singh stated that the current administration, dedicated to public service with a commitment to 'service through good governance', is tirelessly striving for the development and upliftment of all of Haryana and every Haryanvi, adhering to the principles of 'Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas' and 'Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek'.

He noted that with enhancements in road infrastructure and the construction of new routes, Haryana is embarking on a new trajectory of growth.

Moreover, he assured that the economic advancement of farmers is a priority, with 100% of crops being purchased at Minimum Support Price (MSP).

“In the fiscal year 2014-15, food grain output in the state was recorded at 153.54 lakh tonnes, which has risen to 208.80 lakh tonnes for 2023-24,” he reported.

He also indicated that the number of electricity consumers has surged from 54.91 lakh in 2014-15 to 80.56 lakh.

“The establishment of an additional 800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power unit at Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Plant in Khedar, Hisar, is underway at a cost of Rs 7250 crore. Additionally, an 800 MW plant will be constructed in Yamunanagar,” he asserted.

Singh further mentioned that due to the government's initiatives, the state's sex ratio has improved from 861 to 910 over the past decade.
