New Delhi, Oct 29 (NationPress) The BJP has launched a fierce critique against the Mahagathbandhan's electoral pledge, labeling it as “not a manifesto, but a collection of falsehoods.” BJP representatives accused the opposition coalition of deceiving the citizens of Bihar with empty promises and suggested that it reflects their desire to revert to “jungle raj.”
In an interview with IANS, senior BJP figure Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi stated, “While promises are being made, the underlying intention is of jungle raj. The citizens of Bihar still carry the scars from the previous jungle raj era. Everyone recognizes that these pledges are merely a facade. If they believe they can secure votes through such deceitful declarations, they are mistaken. The Mahagathbandhan has already crumbled. Regardless of how many manifestos they publish, they will always be left startled.”
BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal also rejected the Mahagathbandhan’s claims, asserting, “They will never attain power. How can one guarantee government jobs for every household? Tejashwi Yadav has committed a significant betrayal against the people of Bihar. This manifesto serves not the public — it is a personal agenda of the Mahagathbandhan. The populace will not be fooled by such trickery.”
Union Minister B.L. Verma shared similar views, asserting, “This is no longer a Mahagathbandhan — Tejashwi Yadav is the sole leader. This so-called manifesto is a collection of lies intended to mislead the citizens of Bihar. However, the people are astute and fully cognizant of their motives.”
Alka Lamba, President of the All India Mahila Congress, also contributed her perspective, stating, “In both national and Bihar elections, women are now prioritizing their issues. We are approaching this election seriously, concentrating on women’s challenges — including inflation, unemployment, safety, permanent housing, and other urgent matters.”
This Tuesday, the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan unveiled its manifesto for the Bihar Assembly polls. The manifesto prominently features 'Bihar Ka Tejaswi Pran' (Tejashwi's commitment to Bihar), emphasizing that the young and dynamic RJD leader will take the lead of the Grand Alliance, should it secure victory in the upcoming elections.
Tejashwi, the Chief Ministerial candidate for the Grand Alliance, has already taken center stage in the electoral race with ambitious promises of providing government jobs to every family and financial support under the 'Mai Bahin Maan Yojana' for millions of women across the state.
The manifesto was unveiled at a collaborative press conference in Patna. Alongside Tejashwi Yadav, notable figures included VIP's Mukesh Sahni, CPI(ML)'s Dipankar Bhattacharya, and Congress leaders Pawan Khera and Akhilesh Prasad Singh, all present during the manifesto's launch.
During the manifesto release, Tejashwi Yadav declared, “We aspire to establish a government, but its goal will be to advance Bihar. It brings joy that we are all collectively presenting this pledge. This is our commitment. We are prepared to dedicate our lives to fulfill every promise. We aim to transform Bihar into a developed state.”
