New Delhi, Dec 23 (NationPress) Jaipur is preparing for an extraordinary exhibition of India’s military prowess on January 15, 2026, as the Army Day Parade is to be conducted on public roads for the very first time, akin to the Republic Day parade.

This significant event will prominently feature the achievements and firepower of Operation Sindoor, initiated by the Indian Army following the Pahalgam terror incident, where Pakistan’s Chinese-origin weapons reportedly faltered against Indian counter-strikes.

Organized by the South Western Command, the parade will highlight soldiers and weaponry integral to Operation Sindoor.

Newly formed units, such as the Bhairav Battalion, are anticipated to participate in their inaugural march-past, while advanced systems like Shaktibaan and Divyastra may also be displayed.

Participating regiments will include the Assam Regiment, Artillery, Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry, Madras Regiment, Scouts, and NCC cadets.

A highlight of the event will be aerial demonstrations featuring the Light Combat Helicopter Prachand, Apache attack helicopters, alongside Rudra and Chetak helicopters.

On the ground, the Army’s formidable capabilities will be showcased with vehicles like T-90 Bhishma, MBT Arjun, BMP-2, Smerch and Grad multi-barrel rocket launchers, K-9 Vajra, Dhanush, and the M-777 ultra-light howitzer, known for its effectiveness against terror infrastructure.

Additionally, air defense systems that successfully countered Pakistani assaults during Operation Sindoor, including MRSAM, Akash missile system, and Shilka, will be part of this grand display.

A special tableau emphasizing the success of Operation Sindoor is being crafted, along with exhibitions of counter-UAS technologies, robotic mules, and military dog units.

The parade will also feature elements from the Air Force and Navy, with Army bands performing traditional tunes, joined by the Nepal Army band for the second consecutive year.

Honored soldiers, including recipients of Vir Chakra, Param Vir Chakra, and Ashok Chakra, will march together.

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recommendation to host military events outside of Delhi, Jaipur has been chosen as the venue.

The parade will take place along Sitapura Road, covering a stretch of 1.5 kilometers, with specially arranged three-tier seating for approximately 25,000 spectators, marking a historic first for Army Day celebrations.
