Jaipur, Sep 19 (NationPress) Chief Electoral Officer Naveen Mahajan revealed that within just two days of the rollout of the 'Book a Call with BLO' feature via the Election Commission of India's ECINet app/website, an impressive total of 2,926 voters throughout Rajasthan have successfully scheduled calls with their Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
This surge in bookings highlights a growing public enthusiasm for accessible and transparent voting services, showcasing the effectiveness of this innovative digital initiative aimed at boosting citizen engagement.
Among various districts, Jaipur led the way with 408 calls booked, closely followed by Jodhpur with 167, and Sikar with 140 calls. As for responsiveness, Alwar topped the list, with Udaipur and Dausa not far behind.
Mahajan pointed out that the ‘Book a Call with BLO’ service marks a significant advancement in empowering citizens, providing them with direct access to electoral officials for inquiries, corrections, and support related to the voter list.
This feature, accessible on the ECINet app and website, allows voters to navigate to voter services and choose ‘Book a Call with BLO’. After selecting an identification method (EPIC number, reference number, etc.), they enter their mobile number and authenticate using an OTP.
Once they submit their request for a callback, both the voter and the BLO receive a confirmation message, ensuring a seamless interaction.
Additionally, the names and mobile numbers of BLOs, BLO Supervisors, AEROs, EROs, Deputy District Election Officers, and District Election Officers are available on the official websites of their respective District Election Offices, promoting transparency and easy access.
Mahajan underscored that the launch of such features reaffirms the Election Commission’s dedication to enhancing voter outreach, digital inclusion, and the provision of accountable, timely, and efficient electoral services.
