Patna, Nov 15 (NationPress) Jan Suraaj Party's National President Uday Singh on Saturday asserted that the Bihar government had effectively purchased the NDA's substantial majority in the Assembly elections. He emphasized that the state urgently requires a clean government and called for the dismissal of tainted ministers.
During a press conference at Sheikhpura House on Bailey Road, Patna, he alleged that approximately Rs 40,000 crore of public funds had been utilized for cash transfers that swayed voters, along with Rs 14,000 crore from a World Bank loan.
“Such tactics have been seen before in the country, but this marks the first instance where a state government has expended such an enormous sum. Consequently, resources for education, employment, and health have significantly diminished,” Singh stated.
When queried, he remarked that Prashant Kishor’s previous comment about the JD(U) not securing 25 seats was made under different conditions.
He asserted that the landscape changed once the government opened its treasury, making JD(U)’s surge in seats unavoidable.
Uday Singh congratulated the NDA on their success and sent his best wishes to the new administration.
He reiterated that Bihar now demands a clean government and insisted on the removal of corrupt ministers.
Since both the Prime Minister and Chief Minister have acknowledged Jan Suraaj’s concerns, the party will oversee how the new administration addresses these issues.
He expressed that the organization would persist in its efforts with the same commitment that founded Jan Suraaj and continue to spotlight the government’s inadequacies.
Even without representation in the Assembly, he declared that the people of Bihar would regard Jan Suraaj as a formidable Opposition.
Regarding the party's outcomes, Singh mentioned they felt disheartened but not defeated.
He noted that some voters shifted to the NDA at the last minute, worried that voting for Jan Suraaj might indirectly assist the RJD in regaining power.
Present at the press conference, the party's Bihar President Manoj Bharti addressed the state's workers via media, asserting that the party would reorganize and keep engaging with them to inspire motivation.
Senior leaders Subhash Singh Kushwaha, Sarwar Ali, and state media in-charge Obaidur Rahman were also in attendance.
