Jammu, Jan 6 (NationPress) A specially tailored training initiative for the Assistant Bookkeeper role in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir is set to significantly enhance the prospects of its participants.
This training initiative, organized by SBI RSETI Reasi with backing from the central government, offers skill-focused education at no cost to local youth.
Thirty-four individuals from various regions within District Reasi have signed up and are actively engaged in the training program. The curriculum emphasizes both theoretical insights and practical skills essential for bookkeeping, accounting methodologies, and the upkeep of financial records.
A few students enrolled in the program expressed their enthusiasm and satisfaction regarding this job-training opportunity and discussed the benefits they are receiving.
Arati Devi, a local participant, shared with IANS that they were entirely unaware of this scheme before enrolling.
“We are receiving complimentary computer training. We are grateful to the Modi government for this. This initiative is commendable. It will assist individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds like ours in pursuing computer courses, paving the way for our employment and success,” she stated.
She further noted that, as girls, they have faced numerous limitations in opportunities, but today, the central government is launching various initiatives aimed at their empowerment.
Another participant, Parveen Akhtar, expressed her thanks to the central authorities, saying, “We are being given the chance to learn computers for free. Previously, we had no knowledge of it. In our community, girls' education is often overlooked, but now I have the opportunity to study computers. I am sincerely grateful to the central government for this.”
“We are becoming self-sufficient. Today, we are enjoying a newfound sense of independence, which is a profound joy that words cannot fully convey,” she added.
Student Kavita Sharma remarked that she has gained extensive knowledge about computers.
“Before this, I had no understanding of computers. Now we are filled with confidence. We have received thorough training on Tally, GST, and are even creating attendance sheets on the computer,” she shared.
Faculty member Rahul provided insights into the program, explaining that it focuses on computer-related learning, primarily in accounting.
“Our batch consists of 34 students, with 15 residing here. Their accommodation and meals are funded by the government. All these students have traveled from remote regions,” he mentioned.
“The primary goal of this course is to equip students with comprehensive computer knowledge, ensuring they do not encounter difficulties when they seek employment,” he added.
This initiative notably exemplifies the government’s dedication to skill enhancement and the creation of self-employment opportunities among the youth. The free training program by SBI RSETI Reasi is playing a critical role in empowering unemployed youth by boosting their employability and guiding them toward sustainable livelihood prospects.
