New Delhi, July 5 (NationPress) Keiichi Ono, the Ambassador of Japan to India and Bhutan, visited Ayodhya on Saturday, where he offered prayers at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple.

After his visit, the Japanese diplomat shared on X, "I witnessed the profound cultural and spiritual significance at Shri Hanuman Garhi Temple and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. I extend my respectful greetings for their gracious welcome."

The Uttar Pradesh government emphasized that Ayodhya embodies the spiritual and cultural essence of India.

"Mr. Ono Keiichi’s visit to Shri Hanuman Garhi and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi showcases Uttar Pradesh's rising recognition as a global spiritual and cultural hub," the government remarked.

On the previous evening, the Japanese Ambassador met with Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, for a "fruitful meeting and meaningful discussion" at the CM's residence in Lucknow.

"I agreed with Yogi Adityanath on Japan-UP collaboration in areas such as investment, technology, human-resource development, and tourism. I look forward to collaborating with CM Yogi, symbolized by placing the right eye of the daruma doll as a commitment; the left will be added when our cooperation bears fruit," Ono stated.
