New Delhi, Jan 19 (NationPress) We remain optimistic about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal for ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’, particularly in developing a robust infrastructure, and will persist in our contributions to nation building, as we have for the past 45 years, stated Deepak Shetty, CEO and Managing Director of JCB India, on Sunday.
In an interview with IANS at the ‘Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025’ in the capital, Shetty highlighted the government's increasing investments in infrastructure development across various sectors over the last decade, including roads, highways, railways, housing, the Har Ghar Nal Yojana, and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He emphasized that “the government’s commitment to infrastructure will persist without pause.”
“For the past 45 years, JCB has provided machinery and expertise that have been instrumental in developing exceptional infrastructure throughout the nation. We are now fully aligned with the government’s ambition of ‘Viksit Bharat by 2047’,” he remarked.
Shetty expressed that JCB is very optimistic about the domestic market, reporting a growth rate exceeding 12 percent year-on-year.
The company is dedicated to innovation, aiming to meet the evolving expectations of Indian customers.
At the auto expo, JCB India presented its lineup of 'CEV Stage 5' compliant machines, representing a significant achievement in accordance with the government’s latest emissions and safety standards.
These machines, designed with an emphasis on emissions compliance and customer satisfaction, are expected to establish a new standard in the construction equipment industry, boasting 10-15 percent improved fuel efficiency compared to their 'CEV Stage 4' counterparts.
“In the last decade, the government's emphasis on infrastructure has reinforced our dedication to investing in sustainable technologies and creating world-class products in India. The JCB India pavilion features over 20 state-of-the-art machines, each playing a role in the nation’s development narrative,” Shetty stated.
JCB has been a trailblazer in the heavy machinery sector, committed to sustainability. Since 2021, the company has incorporated hydrogen into its machinery to address emissions in a sector historically dependent on diesel.
