Sonipat, April 23 (NationPress) Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) at OP Jindal Global University (JGU) has revealed that the deadline for applications to its prestigious five-year Law programmes will be on April 30, 2025. All aspiring students must complete the LNAT-UK test before this date.
The law school recently gained attention for being ranked by Quacquarelli Symonds UK (QS) as India’s top Law School in the QS World Universities Rankings By Subject Law 2025.
For the sixth year in a row, Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) has been recognized as the leading Law School in India and is also placed among the top 100 worldwide, achieving a global rank of 78th in 2025.
OP Jindal Global University, designated as an Institution of Eminence (IOE) by the Government of India, recently marked its 15th anniversary and inaugurated India’s First Constitution Museum on its campus. JGLS uniquely boasts the only law school with a Constitution Museum globally.
A total of 225 seats are available for admission.
Professor (Dr) C. Raj Kumar, the Founding Vice Chancellor and Dean of JGLS, emphasized the admissions success this year, stating: “Implementing the LNAT Test for JGLS admissions was an excellent choice. The LNAT Test, recognized as the premier law school admissions test by the LNAT Consortium at the University of Oxford, evaluates reading comprehension and logical reasoning skills. It does not include questions related to law, general knowledge, mathematics, or rote memorization. Students can take the LNAT at over 500 centres worldwide during the testing window. I am pleased to report a flawless administration of this test globally, providing JGLS aspirants with a fair opportunity to compete.”
Professor Anand Prakash Mishra, Vice Dean and Director of Law Admissions at the University, added, “We filled 75 percent of seats in the five-year LLB Hons programmes (BCom LLB, BA LLB & BBA LLB) during the Early Admission Process, which concluded on January 31. The April 30 deadline pertains to the remaining 25 percent of seats in each programme. JGLS has an approved intake of 300 seats (5 sections of 60 seats each) across all three five-year law programmes. We will admit 75 seats in each programme, totaling 225 seats, based on LNAT Test scores submitted on or before April 30. Today, the brightest students in the country aspire to study law, with many aiming for JGLS. This is the final chance for students wishing to enroll in our law school for the academic year 2025-26, commencing on August 1, 2025.”
Students are reminded to complete the LNAT-UK test by April 30, 2025, without any fee.
This is the National Admission Test for Law or LNAT (also referred to as LNAT-UK, recognized by Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, and other leading UK law schools). The test is administered by LNAT Consortium Ltd., located at Oxford University.
JGLS is the sole member law school from India, with a duration of 95 minutes to complete 42 questions.
Test format: 12 passages with 3-4 multiple-choice questions each. Full-length LNAT question papers can be downloaded from the LNAT-UK website. The format is a Computer-Based Test (CBT), with over 500 Test Centres internationally, including more than 40 test centres in India.
JGLS does not require essay writing. Admission cutoffs may vary across cycles, with a score of 15 out of 42 being the cutoff for early admissions. This cutoff may increase in future cycles.
Scores from the LNAT-UK will be considered for over 300 merit-cum-means scholarships offered by the law school. Scholarships range from 10 percent to 75 percent of tuition fees, awarded based on merit and annual parental income, which should not exceed Rs 50 lakh in the latest ITR of both parents.
Students should note that the LNAT Test is complimentary for admitted students, as the test fee of 120 GBP is included in the first-year tuition fee.
