Ranchi, Sep 7 (NationPress) In a pivotal initiative aimed at enhancing the system for public grievance resolution, the Jharkhand government has unveiled its strategy to leverage social media as a more efficient platform for tackling citizens' concerns and supporting those in distress.
The declaration was made by State Revenue and Transport Minister Deepak Birua on Sunday.
Through the social media platform X, Birua communicated that the government is upgrading its framework to ensure that issues and grievances mentioned online are promptly directed to the relevant departments, ministers, and even the Chief Minister.
“This initiative will not only guarantee quick responses but also enhance transparency in the process,” the minister stated.
The minister encouraged the public to voice their authentic concerns on social media and tag the relevant departments or the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) for swift attention. Deepak Birua also highlighted the importance of productive engagement and discouraged the repetitive posting of identical issues.
“If an issue has already been raised by someone, others should support or provide updates instead of posting the same concern again. This practice reduces confusion and accelerates administrative responses,” he clarified.
Minister Deepak Birua also asserted that Jharkhand is the first state in the nation where Chief Minister Hemant Soren has effectively utilized social media as a formidable tool for public service. Over the years, numerous grievances have been resolved through CM Soren's direct intervention, he claimed.
He further confirmed that the government is currently working to formalize this model further, ensuring that a broader audience can take advantage of this instantaneous digital grievance resolution mechanism.
Minister Deepak Birua concluded, “By harnessing social media in a positive and constructive manner, the Jharkhand government is initiating a new era in providing enhanced services to the populace.”
