Hazaribagh, Sep 2 (NationPress) In an effort to reshape India into a developed nation by 2047, the Central Government has launched the ‘Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme’, which officially kicked off at Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.
This initiative, aimed at the youth, is driven by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. It aligns with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a developed India, urging young individuals to play an active role in nation-building.
During the programme, Dr. Umendra, the Nodal Officer at VBU, highlighted the importance of youth involvement, stating, “The future of our nation rests in the hands of our younger generation. We aspire to make them not just aware but active participants in India’s developmental journey through this initiative.”
The ‘Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect’ extends beyond mere awareness; it is a dynamic youth engagement programme featuring debates, youth parliaments, open discussions, presentations, oath-taking ceremonies, and recognition events.

The Ministry of Education has committed to preparing the youth in two crucial aspects:

She mentioned that the ‘My Bharat Portal’ was introduced to them, showcasing its experiential learning initiatives across various sectors. At VBU, a series of events are scheduled from August 15 to October 15, 2025, designed to engage students in direct and indirect ways. These initiatives are aimed at fostering awareness and encouraging students to assume leadership roles in the movement towards a developed India.
