Srinagar, June 7 (NationPress) The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the University of Kashmir on Saturday for achieving an A++ grade during the recent NAAC evaluation.

The Lt Governor commended the Vice Chancellor, faculty, staff, and students of the University of Kashmir for this remarkable accomplishment, which includes an impressive Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.68 on a seven-point scale.

He described this achievement as a moment of great pride for the J&K Union Territory, stating, "The A++ Grade positions the University of Kashmir among the leading institutions in India, enhancing its status as a center of knowledge and innovation."

“It’s particularly noteworthy that two universities from the J&K UT -- the University of Jammu with a CGPA of 3.72 and the University of Kashmir with 3.68 have attained A++ Grade,” he remarked.

“This is an exceptional occurrence in academic history, marking the achievement of two universities from a single Union Territory,” the Lt Governor added.

“We also made history in the college category when the Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, achieved an A++ Grade in January 2024.
