Union Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi on Friday, 17 July 2026 participated in the grand inauguration of Mallakamba Kreedotsava 2025-26 at the new sports complex in Dharwad, Karnataka, an event jointly organised by the district administration, the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, and the Karnataka State Amateur Mallakamba Association.

Joshi, who represents the Dharwad constituency, attended the inauguration ceremony and hailed Mallakamba as a symbol of India's ancient sporting heritage.
