New Delhi, May 26 (NationPress) YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who faces allegations of espionage for Pakistan, is set to appear in Haryana's Hisar court today, marking her third court appearance following a nine-day police remand.
The police have previously remanded Jyoti Malhotra twice and will present her to the court again.
Malhotra was among a group of 12 individuals detained across Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh on espionage suspicions.
She operated a YouTube channel and was arrested on May 16 under the Official Secrets Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Reports indicate that she had been in contact with Ehsan-ur-Rahim, also known as Danish, a staff member of the Pakistani High Commission, since November 2023. India expelled Danish on May 13 for alleged espionage activities.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), along with the Intelligence Bureau and military intelligence, has conducted interrogations of Malhotra.
