Chandigarh, June 4 (NationPress) Following the arrest of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, accused of espionage for Pakistan, the Punjab Police announced on Wednesday the discovery of a significant espionage network involving another YouTuber, Jasbir Singh, from Rupnagar.

Jasbir Singh, who runs the YouTube channel 'JaanMahal', has been linked to Pakistani intelligence operative Shakir, also known as Jutt Randhawa, and is part of a terror-associated espionage network.

Furthermore, he was in close communication with Haryana's Jyoti Malhotra and Ehsan-ur-Rahim, referred to as Danish, a former Pakistani High Commission official. This information was disclosed by Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav via X.

Investigations indicated that Jasbir attended the Pakistan National Day celebration in Delhi at Danish's invitation, where he interacted with officials from the Pakistani army and various bloggers.

He has traveled to Pakistan three times (in 2020, 2021, and 2024), and his electronic devices are currently under forensic examination for multiple numbers linked to Pakistan, as stated by the DGP.

After the apprehension of Jyoti Malhotra, Jasbir made attempts to eliminate any evidence of his communications with the Pakistani intelligence agents to evade detection.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged in Mohali. The DGP emphasized that the investigation is ongoing to dismantle the wider espionage-terror network and identify all involved parties.

Just a day prior, Punjab's Counter-Intelligence, in collaboration with Tarn Taran police, apprehended an individual connected to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) for relaying sensitive information regarding military movements during Operation Sindoor.

The accused, identified as Gagandeep Singh, also known as Gagan, resides in Tarn Taran.

DGP Yadav revealed that initial investigations indicated Gagandeep Singh had been in direct contact with Pakistan-based Khalistani supporter Gopal Singh Chawla for five years, who introduced him to Pakistani intelligence operatives.

Investigations further uncovered that the accused had been disseminating confidential information, including troop placements, strategic locations, and military movements during Operation Sindoor, posing a severe risk to national security.

The DGP stated that police recovered two mobile devices from the accused, which contained sensitive intelligence shared with the Pakistani operatives, along with details of over 20 ISI contacts.

The accused also received financial transactions from operatives through Indian channels.
