Dehradun, July 10 (NationPress) The esteemed Kainchi Dham Temple Trust in Uttarakhand made a significant donation of Rs 2.5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund on Thursday, aimed at assisting families impacted by natural disasters in the state. This generous contribution was officially announced during a special ceremony held at the globally recognized Kainchi Dham Temple in celebration of Guru Purnima.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami commended the trust's donation, labeling it a remarkable act of compassion.
“The support provided by the Kainchi Dham Temple Trust in areas such as education, health, and now in aiding families affected by disasters, exemplifies a profound service to society,” he remarked.
He also disclosed that the proposal for a bypass road to alleviate traffic congestion near Kainchi Dham has received preliminary approval from the Union Ministry of Forest and Environment for the necessary forest land.
“This bypass will be constructed swiftly to benefit local residents, tourists, and devotees by reducing traffic jams near Kainchi Dham and Bhawali,” the Chief Minister added.
He emphasized that various other initiatives are underway to accommodate the increasing number of devotees visiting the shrine.
In the company of temple trustees and officials, a cheque for Rs 2.5 crore was handed over to District Chief Development Officer Anamika, specifically allocated for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to assist families affected by natural disasters.
Om Prakash Bindra, President of the Kainchi Dham Temple Trust, expressed that the trust has a long-standing commitment to social service.
“We are dedicated to making contributions in every possible way, particularly in education, health, and disaster management. Our scholarship program, which previously supported 3,000 children annually, has now expanded to aid 5,000 students,” he stated.
He also noted the trust’s ongoing collaboration with the district administration to enhance local education and healthcare facilities.
“With the support of the district administration, the trust is striving to serve in the fields of education and medicine,” he added.
Bindra conveyed his appreciation to Chief Minister Dhami and the district administration for their assistance, especially in ensuring the successful celebration of Kainchi Dham Temple Foundation Day on June 15.
