Bhubaneswar, Sep 22 (NationPress) KC Venugopal, the General Secretary (Organisation) of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), convened a review meeting on Monday with the party observers assigned to Odisha for the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan in New Delhi.
During this meeting, Venugopal engaged in comprehensive discussions with the AICC observers regarding the reports generated from their visits to various districts throughout the state as a part of the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan.
In a post on his X account, Venugopal stated, “These discussions were informed by the extensive reports they’ve compiled following thorough field visits, in collaboration with PCC observers, and conversations with party functionaries and social groups in their respective districts. These reports feature detailed assessments of the socio-political dynamics, which are crucial in the selection of DCC Presidents.”
As part of this initiative, the AICC General Secretary, during a recent trip to Odisha, also engaged with members of the Odisha Congress’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC), Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC), AICC observers, senior party leaders, legislators, and workers during two significant meetings in Bhubaneswar.
In his discussions with the PAC members and other party officials in Odisha, Venugopal emphasized the importance of fortifying the organization at both the district and grassroots levels, asserting that PCC observers must play a pivotal role in this effort.
He reiterated that the Congress party stands resolutely with the people of Odisha in their quest for justice, dignity, and democracy. Venugopal earlier disclosed that the selection process for presidents of all 35 organizational districts in Odisha under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan would conclude by September 30.
The Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan is an initiative aimed at identifying district presidents across 30 district units of the Congress party in Odisha. Reports indicate that this effort seeks to select leaders who exhibit ideological clarity, steadfast loyalty to the party, and the ability to counter any challenges posed by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its critics.
