Lal Krishna Advani Admitted to Apollo Hospital in New Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 14 (NationPress) Renowned BJP figure, Lal Krishna Advani, has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in New Delhi following a deterioration in his health.

The former Deputy Prime Minister and prominent BJP leader was taken to the hospital late on Friday night.

At the age of 97, Lal Krishna Advani has been experiencing health issues for an extended period and this marks his fourth hospitalization in recent months.

Details regarding the cause of this latest hospitalization are not yet available, although medical professionals have indicated that his condition is currently stable.

The former Home Minister during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee administration was awarded the prestigious 'Bharat Ratna' this year.

Due to his inability to attend the official ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan, the award was presented to him at his residence.

Lal Krishna Advani is one of the founding members of the BJP and an associate of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

He played a pivotal role in the latter stages of the temple movement, initiating his Rath Yatra from Somnath in September 1990 to garner support for the Ram Temple.

On November 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the veteran leader's home to convey birthday greetings, sharing a photograph on social media where he is seen presenting a bouquet to Advani.

PM Modi captioned the image with, "Visited Advani ji's house to extend birthday wishes."

Earlier, PM Modi had expressed his sentiments on X, stating, "Heartiest greetings to Advani ji on his birthday. This birthday is particularly special as he has received the Bharat Ratna this year. He is among the esteemed leaders who have devoted their lives to the nation's development. I wish him a long and healthy life."

"Advani ji has always been admired for his intellect and profound insights. I consider myself fortunate to have received his guidance for many years," PM Modi added.
