Bhopal, May 16 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh is currently enduring heatwaves, with the highest temperature recorded in Khajuraho at 43.4 degrees Celsius. The heat has been particularly severe in several districts, with Gwalior, Naugaon, and Chhatarpur peaking at 45 degrees Celsius, marking the highest temperature of the season, according to the weather office on Friday.
Other regions also reported extreme temperatures, including Satna at 44.1 degrees Celsius, Guna, Shivpuri, and Tikamgarh at 44 degrees Celsius, and Rewa at 43.6 degrees Celsius.
Among the five major cities, Jabalpur recorded the second-highest temperature at 40.3 degrees Celsius. Bhopal logged 38.4 degrees, while Ujjain reached 39 degrees and Indore noted 36.9 degrees Celsius.
While some areas are suffering from severe heat, others are experiencing thunderstorms and strong winds of 30-50 km/h.
