Mumbai, July 22 (NationPress) The Governor of Maharashtra, C.P. Radhakrishnan, officially launched a Coffee Table Book named 'Maharashtra Nayak' that celebrates the journey of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. This book, envisioned by Water Resources and Disaster Management Minister Girish Mahajan, was unveiled in honor of the CM's birthday.
Governor Radhakrishnan commended Mahajan for his efforts, emphasizing that the book encapsulates the remarkable evolution of CM Fadnavis from a young public servant to a leader of considerable national influence.
During the event, the Governor remarked that the book presents a rich narrative of Fadnavis’s contributions to Maharashtra, the nation, and the broader global community. It details not only his political achievements but also underscores the personal principles that have shaped his leadership, which are deeply rooted in the values of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) that he embraced from an early age.
Furthermore, he reminisced about the legacy of public service handed down from Fadnavis’s late father, Gangadharrao Fadnavis, and his aunt, Shobhatai Fadnavis.
Praising the CM's adept governance, the Governor noted that Fadnavis has consistently exhibited visionary leadership, guiding Maharashtra through significant reforms. He highlighted several key initiatives, including Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan, the Samruddhi Mahamarg, the Right to Services Act, and the Aaple Sarkar grievance redressal system.
In terms of economic advancements, the Governor pointed out that under Fadnavis’s stewardship, Maharashtra has become the premier destination for foreign direct investment (FDI), representing nearly half of India's total FDI in a single fiscal year.
He further applauded major infrastructure projects, such as the Mumbai Metro expansion, the Atal Setu sea bridge, and numerous public-private partnership (PPP) initiatives across both urban and rural landscapes.
Special recognition was given to three flagship projects: the proposed Deep Sea Port at Wadhwan, the Navi Mumbai International Airport, and the transformation of Gadchiroli from a previously disadvantaged, Naxal-affected district into the burgeoning “Steel District of India”.
Expressing optimism for Maharashtra’s future, the Governor asserted that under CM Fadnavis’s leadership, the state is on track to become a $3 trillion economy and achieve inclusive growth by the year 2047.
The event was attended by prominent figures including Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, Ministers Girish Mahajan and Mangal Prabhat Lodha, as well as MLAs Kalidas Kolambkar and Yogesh Sagar.
