Mumbai, Feb 11 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, took decisive action on Tuesday, declaring that any exam centres identified with widespread copying during the 10th and 12th grade examinations will face permanent recognition cancellation. Moreover, educators and staff who facilitate copying will be dismissing.

During the weekly Cabinet meeting, Fadnavis engaged with district collectors and police officials to discuss preparations and measures for ensuring copy-free examinations.

The class 12 examination commenced on Monday and is scheduled to run at 3,373 exam centres until March 18, with class 10 exams taking place from February 21 to March 17.

The Chief Minister emphasized the need for strict enforcement of Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Code within examination centre premises.

Additionally, he mandated that unauthorized individuals must be completely barred from entering exam centres, and students should refrain from bringing any copying materials (books, notes, mobile phones) within 100 meters of these venues.

He mentioned that flying squads must concentrate on the effective execution of the copy-free examination policy.

Furthermore, a special team should be designated by the District Collectors at every examination centre, arriving an hour prior to the exam start time.

This team is required to stay until the answer sheets are delivered to the custodian post-examination.

The Chief Minister urged the administration to assign competent and senior officials to these special teams.

Moreover, Fadnavis instructed district collectors to monitor sensitive examination centres continuously through drone and video surveillance, ensuring operations across all talukas.

He further directed the appointment of a Department Head and Deputy Collector for each taluka to supervise sensitive examination centres and ensure the functionality of drone and video monitoring.
