Mumbai, Jan 21 (NationPress) The Maharashtra government on Tuesday finalized 18 MoUs encompassing investment proposals totaling Rs 4,99,321 crore across various sectors including steel, metals, renewable energy, infrastructure, cement, Lithium-Ion Batteries, and Solar Modules. This event took place in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and senior officials during the World Economic Forum summit in Davos.

Among the total investment of Rs 4,99,321 crore, JSW is set to contribute a historic Rs 3 lakh crore towards Maharashtra's Green Transformation. Fadnavis remarked, “The MoU inked today lays the foundation for Maharashtra's holistic growth and advancement.”

On social media, Fadnavis expressed his excitement about the landmark Rs 3,00,000 crore MoU between the Government of Maharashtra and JSW Group, which is expected to generate 10,000 jobs in the areas of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Gadchiroli, and Nagpur. He extended special thanks to Sajjan Jindal ji for being part of this remarkable occasion in Davos, which will significantly enhance Maharashtra's industrial landscape.

The collaborations include an MoU with Waaree Energy for a total investment of Rs 30,000 crore in green energy and solar components, promising the creation of 7,500 jobs. The company’s chairman, Hitesh Joshi, was present at the signing.

Additionally, an MoU was signed with Blackstone-Panchshil Realty for an investment of Rs 25,000 crore aimed at developing a data center, which will provide 500 jobs. Blackstone will also invest Rs 25,000 crore in Information Technology within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, generating 1,000 jobs.

Further agreements include an MoU with ZR2 Group for Rs 17,500 crore in the automobile and EV sectors in the Pune region, which will create 4,000 jobs.

Moreover, the state government partnered with Balasore Alloys Ltd for an investment of Rs 17,000 crore in steel and metals, generating 3,200 jobs. The signing was attended by Satish Kaushik.

Another significant MoU was signed with Reliance Infrastructure Ltd for Rs 16,500 crore in the defense sector, leading to 2,450 jobs.

Viraj Profiles Pvt Ltd and the state government agreed on Rs 12,000 crore investment in steel and metals, creating 3,500 jobs. Chairman and MD Neeraj Raja Kochhar was present.

Avani Power Batteries will invest Rs 10,521 crore in electronics, generating 5,000 jobs in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. H2e Power will contribute Rs 10,750 crore in green energy for 1,850 jobs in the Pune region.

The government also signed an MoU with Welspun for Rs 8,500 crore in logistics, which will create 17,300 jobs. Meanwhile, Essar in partnership with Blue Energy will invest Rs 8,000 crore in green energy, leading to 2,000 jobs.

Kalyani Group plans to invest Rs 5,250 crore in defense, steel, and EV, generating 4,000 jobs. The MoU signing included Amit Kalyani, Vice-Chairman & Joint MD of Bharat Forge Limited.

“Thank you, Amit Kalyani, for participating in this MoU signing at Davos. This investment is exceptional as it is directed towards Gadchiroli, enhancing the lives of many,” stated the Chief Minister.

Gensol will invest Rs 4,000 crore in electronics in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, creating 500 jobs.

The government signed an MoU with El Mont for Rs 2,000 crore in infrastructure, generating 5,000 jobs. Company director Kabir Bhandari was present.

BookMyShow will invest Rs 1,700 crore in the entertainment industry, leading to 500 jobs.

Additionally, an MoU with Tembo was signed for Rs 1,000 crore in the defense sector, creating 300 jobs. Company director Shabbir Merchant was present.

The government also inked an MoU with AB InBev in the food and beverage sector for Rs 750 crore, with Kartikeya Sharma, President of India and South East Asia of AB InBev, attending.

Bisleri International plans to invest Rs 250 crore in food and beverages within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, generating 600 jobs. This signing represents a significant step towards Maharashtra's all-encompassing growth and development.
