Bhopal, July 23 (NationPress) In a notable administrative restructuring, the General Administration Department of Madhya Pradesh has announced new postings for several senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. This overhaul is designed to enhance governance and improve departmental leadership across crucial sectors.
As per the order released on Wednesday, KC Gupta (IAS, 1992), who formerly held the position of Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor at Raj Bhavan, has been designated as Additional Chief Secretary for the Department of Cottage and Rural Industries.
Taking over his role at Raj Bhavan is Dr Navneet Mohan Kothari (IAS, 2001), who transitions from his previous position as Principal Secretary of Environment and as Commissioner of Environment and Director General of EPCO (Environment Planning and Coordination Organisation).
His duties at the Environment Department will now be managed by Ashok Barnwal (IAS, 1991), who will assume this additional responsibility alongside his ongoing role as Additional Chief Secretary in the Forest Department and Agriculture Production Commissioner.
Other notable changes include Chandramouli Shukla (IAS, 2011), who will be assigned the role of Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister while keeping his current positions as Managing Director of both the MP Industrial Development Corporation and MP State Industrial Development Corporation, in addition to his role as Commissioner of Aviation. Deepak Arya (IAS, 2012), the current CEO of the MP Rural Road Development Authority, will also take on the new duty of Executive Director at EPCO.

The appointment of KC Gupta to the Cottage and Rural Industries Department will also free Amit Rathore (IAS, 1996) from his additional role in that department, allowing him to concentrate solely on Commercial Tax.
