New Delhi, Nov 26 (NationPress) Union Minister Giriraj Singh has strongly criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, claiming her government is fostering an environment ripe for illegal immigration throughout the nation. Singh asserted that the Trinamool Congress administration is jeopardizing national security for its political interests.
“Mamata Banerjee is transforming Bengal into a center for illegal immigrants, including Rohingyas. Her government is distributing official documents that aid in their propagation across the nation. The Bengal government is reliant on these illegal immigrants and is instigating animosity towards the Constitution and Hindus,” Singh remarked.
In response to Banerjee’s recent comments regarding the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls, Singh indicated that her defiance signals a political “downfall.”
“Now her government is on the brink of collapse. A power shift is imminent, and in the near future, actions will be taken to address illegal immigration, and states like Bengal will implement the NRC,” he further stated.
Joining Singh’s critique, BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal condemned Banerjee’s opposition to the SIR process.
“Mamata Banerjee is acting irrationally. The public must realize that SIR is under the jurisdiction of the Election Commission, and any interference will have legal repercussions. As for undermining the BJP, she should abandon that notion,” he asserted.
Bihar Minister Nitin Nabin also criticized the Trinamool leader, describing her governance as “chaotic.”
“Mamata Banerjee has come to symbolize disorder… Her attempts to govern with the backing of Bangladeshi infiltrators are doomed to fail. She won’t even be able to destabilize West Bengal, let alone the entire nation,” Nabin commented.
The political tension escalated after Banerjee expressed concerns about potential “serious chaos” following the anticipated release of the draft voters’ list on December 9, marking the completion of the first phase of the three-part SIR.
Previously, during an anti-SIR rally in Bangaon, she alleged that there were technical issues and misuse of technology.
“Due to internet connectivity issues, booth-level officers are struggling to upload enumeration forms… I have heard that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being utilized in the SIR process. This is an effort to substitute genuine voters with fraudulent ones,” she claimed.
However, the Chief Minister assured that her administration would aid citizens in obtaining the necessary documentation to guarantee their inclusion on the voter list.
