Ranchi, June 2 (NationPress) The Leader of Opposition and BJP state President of Jharkhand, Babulal Marandi, has made grave accusations against Chief Minister Hemant Soren, claiming that he, along with a group of corrupt and favored officials, is conspiring to frame him in false cases. During a media briefing in Giridih, Marandi stated that he has received reliable information suggesting that efforts are underway to intimidate him due to his ongoing activism regarding public interest and corruption.
“I have persistently voiced my concerns about the liquor scam, the mining mafia, irregularities in JPSC and JSSC exams, as well as corruption in rural development schemes. My commitment to exposing these scams has made me a target for personal vendetta,” he explained.
Marandi further mentioned that such attempts to silence him are not new. “Previously, there was even a conspiracy to attack me with militants in the Shikaripara area of Dumka. Thanks to intelligence alerts, the Central government deployed the CRPF for my protection,” he added.
In a bold statement directed at the Chief Minister, Marandi declared, “Once again, efforts are being made to hush me up through threats, false cases, and character assassination. However, I refuse to be intimidated.”
Taking to social media, the veteran BJP leader stated: "Hemant ji and your officials, if you believe you can silence me with threats and fabricated charges, then you clearly do not understand me. I may speak less, but I have never shied away from fear."
Marandi concluded his social media post with a poignant reminder of personal loss: “Even after losing my young son to a militant attack, I did not back down. Your cheap tactics and smear campaigns will not deter me from advocating for the people of Jharkhand.”
