Ranchi, March 28 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has vehemently criticized the Hemant Soren-led government of Jharkhand for the alarming rise in crime rates across the state. The BJP's state president and Leader of the Opposition, Babulal Marandi, has accused the administration of providing cover for criminals as law and order deteriorate.

Marandi took to social media to express his outrage towards Soren, attributing the recent spike in violent crime in Ranchi directly to him.

In a pointed message directed at the Chief Minister via Instagram, he stated, "Hemant Soren ji, if you can spare time from attending Iftar gatherings and sending Eid wishes, you should also take accountability for the two heinous murders that took place in Ranchi within just two days."

Accusing the government of promoting a climate of lawlessness, he added, "The criminals fostered under your governance have become so brazen that innocent individuals are being killed. Women are losing their spouses, children becoming orphans, and families are being shattered.

"While the Opposition will respond to your political provocations, do not allow criminals to roam freely. Stop your hollow rhetoric and improve the law and order situation, or the Opposition will know how to retaliate."

Marandi also raised alarms about public safety as Ram Navami approaches, indicating that the deteriorating law-and-order situation poses significant risks.

He questioned, "How long will innocent lives be sacrificed due to the government's negligence? How many more fatalities will it require for Hemant Soren to realize the gravity of the situation? Jharkhand has never experienced such a feeble government that capitulates to criminals."

Calling for urgent measures, he urged the Director General of Police (DGP) to enhance security protocols, increase patrols, and deploy enough personnel to safeguard the public.

"Jharkhand is currently facing a critical juncture concerning law and order. The administration must act decisively before the situation spirals beyond control," he cautioned.

Just in two days, Jharkhand was shaken by two murders. On Wednesday, BJP leader Anil Tiger was shot dead in broad daylight in the Kanke area of Ranchi, and on Thursday, Bhupal Sahu, a shoe shop owner near ‘Ravi Steel’ in the Pandra OP area, met a gruesome fate.
