Chandigarh, Oct 24 (NationPress) A series of month-long celebrations honoring the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of 'Hind Di Chadar', Guru Teg Bahadur, will kick off tomorrow from the revered sites in the national capital.
These events are being arranged with deep respect, devotion, and in accordance with the tenets of the Sikh faith.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is scheduled to pay his respects tomorrow morning at Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib and will also honor the martyrdom locations of Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das, and Bhai Dayala, who bravely sacrificed their lives alongside Guru Sahib.
Accompanied by Cabinet ministers, Chief Minister Mann will present 'Rumala Sahib' and take part in the 'ardas' (prayer) for the welfare of all people (Sarbat da Bhala).
After offering his prayers at Gurdwara Sahib, the Chief Minister will proceed to the nearby martyrdom sites of these great Sikh figures, where he and his Cabinet will pay floral tributes and conduct 'ardas' in their honor.
The official launch of the month-long celebrations will occur on Saturday with a special 'Kirtan Samagam' at Gurdwara Sri Rakab Ganj Sahib.
The Punjab government will observe these commemorative events from tomorrow until November 25.
During this period, four grand Nagar Kirtans will be organized, including one from Srinagar and three from various regions in Punjab.
The festivities will culminate with religious gatherings at the birthplace of the Khalsa, Sri Anandpur Sahib, from November 23 to 25.
Chief Minister Mann has directed that all events be held with the highest level of decorum and respect, ensuring that the profound message of Guru Sahib's unmatched sacrifice resonates globally.
Previously, while praising Teg Bahadur, CM Mann remarked that he was the ninth Sikh Guru, a symbol of socialism and secularism, whose teachings serve as a guiding light for everyone.
